Jacob Stein is a business development associate at Pacific Carbon Trust, part of the team responsible for developing carbon offset projects and expanding the low-carbon economy in BC.
Jacob joins Pacific Carbon Trust after working as a carbon consultant with North American engineering firm Stantec, where he worked on a diverse portfolio of projects. In this capacity, he was responsible for developing greenhouse gas inventories and management plans, and carbon reduction feasibility studies for a range of private and public sector clients. Jacob has completed the ISO 14064-3 course delivered by CSA and has also completed several greenhouse gas audits for companies subject to Alberta’s Specified Gas Emitters Regulation.
Jacob lived in Calgary before moving to Victoria, where he completed a B.Comm in International Business from the University of Victoria. He also recently completed an MSc in Carbon Management from the University of Edinburgh in Scotland, the first program of its kind in the world.
In his spare time, Jacob plays too much ice hockey and enjoys travelling and backpacking as much as possible.
